Kris has been passionate about making Native American style flutes for over twenty years. He is based in Leicestershire where he currently lives with his wife and daughter.
The Native American style flutes that I make now are a personal development of this ancient, magical instrument. Each one is lovingly hand crafted to provide you with an instrument with a voice as beautiful as the wild wood it is made from.
I like to work with native timbers - Oak, Rowan, Elm, Alder and Hawthorn all produce excellent tone each with its own unique character. I also use selective tropical woods - Ebony, Rosewood and Mahogany are all famed for their tone.
All of the timber that I use comes from trusted, certified sources, I still hand gather native woods and also recycle old furniture from time to time.
The Native American flute is one of the earliest instruments. They are pentatonic so no Musical experience is necessary as the flute is in tune with itself. Their voice is mellow and enchanting, they are very easy to learn and play. These are concert quality flutes but are suitable for any level of player.
I always have a large selection of flutes in stock, please do not hesitate to get in touch to see what is available. Each flute is supplied with a fabric bag and basic playing guide.
